Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: Foldables, Wearables, and a Few Surprises?

Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is locked in for July 9, and it’s happening live from Brooklyn. They’re calling it “Ultra Unfolds,” which just about confirms we’ll be seeing new foldables, likely the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. These models are expected to be thinner, lighter, and maybe even a little more durable than last year’s. A few insiders have hinted that Samsung might finally show off a working tri-fold phone, something fans have been waiting to see for a while.

There’s also talk of the Galaxy Watch 8 making an appearance, possibly with new health sensors or more battery improvements. And the Galaxy Buds Core could drop too, aiming to be a cheaper alternative to the higher-end Buds lineup. Based on previous releases, we might even get pre-order bonuses or early shipping windows shortly after the event. Samsung usually doesn’t hold back when it comes to stacking hype.

Even with other brands trying to catch up in the foldable space, Samsung still owns most of the spotlight. This event will probably set the tone for the rest of 2025 in mobile tech. If you’re even remotely interested in phones or wearables, this is one of those launches worth keeping an eye on, not just for what’s confirmed, but for whatever else might sneak into the show.
